For the Love of Brogues

After months of seeing my fav bloggers in them, I finally caved and bought my first pair of brogues. I am absolutely in love with this trend. Brogues add a bit of class and formality to any outfit, and are a chic alternate to heels, especially in cold or rainy weather (I mean who actually enjoys stepping in a puddle in heels and getting water all up in your shoes?). The pair I bought are from Clarks Indigo and they are black leather with a cutout on the top of the foot.

Here are some ways that I would style brogues (and geek shoes because they are so similar and just as cute!)

Denim Daze

I have always had a love (pushing unhealthy attachment) for denim. Skinnies, boyfriend jeans, skirts, jackets...you name it, I got it or have had it. But there are some pieces that have become increasingly popular in the recent seasons that I absolutely adore and think are so unique without being wild and completely "out there" in the fashion world. Denim dresses and jumpsuits.

Here are some of my current denim obsessions and how I would style them. Later babes Xx.

Dress: Topshop Sandals: Topshop Hat: SalSit

Hear Me Roar

I follow a number of blogs, ranging from big name heavy-weights like Danielle Bernstein of WeWoreWhat to up-and-comers like Danielle Peazer of IdleLane. What I love about reading so many different blogs is not only seeing how different people express themselves but also being exposed and introduced to a wide variety of stores and brands.

If you follow IdleLane, you should know that Danielle loves their new line of jewelry from Katy Perry. After stopping into my neighbourhood Claires store to investigate, I fell in love with the whole collection! The bold designs and sharp lines as well as the crystals and pearls make the whole line a major standout! Most of the pieces are gold-based with mostly crystal and pearl accents, which are my kryptonite (already bought the crystal and pearl front-back earrings), but the collection is still on trend with flower cuffs and head bands.

Here are some of my favourite items from the collection Xx.

06.13.14 Shopping Haul

Normally when I go shopping I go with the frame of mind that I will only get a few items that I really need or could use in many different ways. But that is never the case. If I leave the mall with two bags or less, it's an off day. And this major haul was no different.

After a few key stops, this is everything that I walked away with:

Forever 21:

Sirens:
  • black maxi skirt
Garage:
Ardene:

Though I loves shops like Topshop, Zara, and American Apparel, I am a university student on a budget so I'm learning to shop with my bank account in mind, not my Polyvore sets.

All things aside, I am very happy with my purchases :) xx

Polka Dot Dream

The ever-increasing popularity of rompers and jumpsuits finally started catching my eye a couple months ago. I am in love with how simple yet chic they can look while still being extremely comfy. They are also very easy to transition, like going from casual to formal or summer to winter. Lately I have really been loving this romper from Forever 21.

I love how feminine and classic polka dots look. And the loose-fitting and flowy silloette makes it very easy to dress up or down. I will definitely be purchasing this romper soon!

Here are some ways that I would style the cute romper:

Later babes xx.
